Wellington International Internship Requirements
- Applicant must be 18 or older and enrolled in an accredited college/university.
- Dates available for internship opportunities: 12/3/2024 - 4/25/2025.
- Weekly work schedule - Tuesday through Sunday (5-8 hour work days). Nights and weekends may be required.
- Monday is the company's day off during the Winter Equestrian Festival.
- The internship will be paid hourly, with no overtime time (amusement exemption).
- Interns will be responsible for their housing arrangements.
Responsibilities
As our interns enter our company, we expect them to assume, as much as possible, the role of a regular staff member. The responsibilities include:
- Adhering to company work hours, dress codes, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior.
- Adhering to company policies governing the observation of confidentiality and handling confidential information.
- Assuming personal and professional responsibilities for their actions and activities.
- Maintaining professional relationships with company employees, customers, etc.
- Utilizing a courteous, enthusiastic, open-minded, critical approach to policies and procedures within the profession.
- Relating and applying knowledge acquired in the academic setting to the company setting
- Developing a self-awareness in regard to attitudes, values, behavior patterns and so forth that influence work.
- Preparing for and utilizing opportunities of learning afforded in the company.
- Being consistent and punctual in the submission of all work assignments.
Wellington International is under no obligation to offer full-time employment to the student before or after graduation. Likewise, the student is under no obligation to the employer after completion of the internship. Employment at Wellington International is on an at-will basis unless otherwise stated in a written individual employment agreement signed by the President of the Company.This means that either the employee or the Company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.
